Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has shed light on Mohamed Salah's condition ahead of Liverpool's upcoming clash against Burnley this Saturday.

Salah encountered a hamstring issue while representing Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations, prompting his premature exit from the tournament to prioritize his recovery.

Regrettably, the 31-year-old couldn't contribute further to Egypt's campaign, as they were eliminated in the round of 16 following a penalty-shootout loss to DR Congo.

During Salah's absence spanning seven games, Klopp's squad has showcased commendable performances, notably securing a spot in the Carabao Cup final and suffering only one defeat, which came last week against Arsenal.

Salah has been diligently undergoing rehabilitation in Liverpool. Nonetheless, Klopp has affirmed that the forward hasn't resumed first-team training yet and will remain unavailable for the upcoming fixture.

Klopp stated during his pre-match press briefing on Friday that they anticipate Salah's potential return to partial training next week, but they must remain flexible as he progresses through his recovery.

"While Salah is eager for an earlier return," Klopp added, "we must prioritize his well-being and ensure he returns at full fitness."

Liverpool fans eagerly await Salah's return, but Klopp remains cautious, emphasizing the importance of a gradual and thorough rehabilitation process to prevent any setbacks.
