The Sweden national team recently unveiled plans for a testimonial match dedicated to honoring the illustrious career of former Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who recently announced his retirement from professional football.

Ibrahimovic, now serving as an advisor to patron Gerry Cardinale at San Siro, made the decision to retire after grappling with a series of knee injuries towards the end of the previous season. Due to the timing constraints, an official celebration couldn't be arranged last summer.

Serie A witnessed the majority of Ibrahimovic's brilliance, as he graced the Italian top flight with 283 appearances, during which he scored 156 goals and contributed 68 assists, leaving fans in awe with his unparalleled skill and determination.

Furthermore, Ibrahimovic's extraordinary achievements have been duly recognized, as evidenced by his record-breaking 12 Swedish Player of the Year awards and his crowning moment winning the prestigious Puskas Award for the best goal in 2013
